One such business is The Brighton Bathroom Company which designs, supplies and installs bespoke, luxury bathrooms for homes across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London.

While the showroom in Hickstead had to temporarily close in March and again in November, furloughing some staff members and moving others to a home-working model, Fixio was on hand to make the transition as painless as possible:

“Fixio set us up immediately with remote server access as well as TeamViewer, Zoom and Skype – invaluable tools which helped our move to home working,” explains Founder Chris Burton.

Technology is at the heart of the Sussex design business (together with sister company, The Brighton Kitchen Company) and as well as using iPads for client site visits, Chris’s team of highly talented designers rely on the hardworking horsepower of a suite of 27” iMacs.

“You can’t beat the sheer performance and the aesthetic of an iMac”, he explains: “We have a highly discerning customer base and every project we undertake is an opportunity to demonstrate design excellence, materials knowledge and installation expertise. iMacs just work brilliantly to elevate our designs.”

And while their design software operates in Windows, Fixio resolved this snag by installing Parallels, software virtualisation for Macs.

“Matt, Dave & Ryan have been brilliant, helping to integrate everything we do, making it as simple and seamless to use – a challenge, given we use a Windows server and software! As a business, we’ve come to trust them implicitly and having a monthly support plan in place ensures our tech has all the latest bells and whistles and is fully backed up – no chance of any nasty surprises!”
